Macbeth FORUM

Currently we are preparing for a forum based on the play 'Macbeth'. I think you have seen the written work done by 7th grade students...

On 1st June our studentst will be coming together and discussing the main concepts related to the tragedy......the ones that I thought of are ambition, betrayal,revenge...if you have any other suggsestions please do write them down.

One more thing before I forget. You are welcome to the forum as one of the audience!! Our students will need support....

'Macbeth' Circle mind-maps

I came up with this idea as I was thinking about a post-reading activity. I used this circle mind-map and asked my students to use key words that describe the character drawn in the middle. They can choose any character from the play.

They write a short text to support their ideas.

I do think that the visuals are very well drawn. Thanks to my students in 7B.

(I do realize that the quality of the pictures is not that good, might there be a better way to put display them here?)

moooore web-sites for language teaching!!!

I have come close to finishing the current unit of integrating web-sites. Before this experience I had not known there were so many options to use as teaching resources. I do think that I have gained a deeper insight into how to use these websites. I need some more thinkink to do....I do realize the number options to activities are endless...this is why I love teaching.

more entries for my wiki!

This week was rather interesting...in a way that I discovered the enthusiasm in my students. They showed a lot of enthusiasm in wikis and even wanted to start their own. I was very pleased to see their interest.

For the following year we will consider starting a wiki with our students from the beginning of the year.

I now have a wiki to work on.... :) http://moretodo.wikispaces.com/ ; if I can get a few of my students to write their entries it will be fab!! We will have to wait and see. As we are approaching our final exams' period I will need to convince them!!! Good luck to all!

Once it gets started I do think it will improve into something for my students to feel proud of.

It's been two weeks since we started this course and I have to say that I have covered a lot but still have loads to explore.

I'd like to thank all my colleagues who gave me a helping hand especially with my blog!!! They know who they are....
